Scoring: IMP

The contract is 3NT; West is a passed hand, East has shown at least 5-5 in the minors with 4-9 points. Low diamond lead.

Sorry, BIF, I'll hide my answer even though it's silly

No answers yet? Here's a hint: Justin's line drops RHO's singleton Q but it still goes down after the defenders continue to attack diamonds.

This is the kind of hand I hate/struggle with the most.

Ok, club to the ten first. Win the presumed diamond return, run the proper club finesse. Hopefully, with 2 clubs and 3 diamonds played, west has been run out of minor suit cards, and he'll have to help me out in either spades or hearts.

AQ of spades. If east followed on both, I'll play him for 2155. KS, concede a spade. I *think* that if west was 4432, I'll pick up 2 hearts in the endplay.
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

Yes, that works. Duck the club at trick 2 to shut out the East hand. For midnight effect, you can finesse the card under the T and look annoyed when it loses.

I just need to play Clubs before Hearts. I take the in hand and duck a club. They take it and play a Back. Club finesse now. Say East takes this and clears the diamonds. Now I block the spades (Spade to King) and play a Heart to the Jack. Just hope that East is not 0355, and that the round Aces are as needed to win this.
