I have just returned to BBO online after 18 months away. I see so many changes i wonder if it is the same one i used to play on! I can no longer see who is online, unless they are "stars". I used to be able to select people by country and see who was online. anyone help?

use the options button at the bottom of the screen, and customize everything the way you want

You didn't say how you accessed BBO. Did you use their downloadable program or did you use your web browser?

Yes, you can download the windows version from www.bridgebase.com.

But the windows version doesn't get new features anymore so it will become obsolete in due course. So it is recommended to get used to the browser (flash) version.

You can still see if a particular user it online by typing his name below the list of users. Also you can see your friends, the yellows (hosts), the gold stars, and while at a table you can see the kibitzers.

BBO has now usually 10000 logins at any time so displaying all users is impractical and has been disabled. Mark people as friends if you want to see them.
