What? Never played a club game? The person with 10xxx in clubs won't save clubs without an honor, when looking at the diamond King and heart Queen!

Hehe, playing club games is my job unfortunately  Although it was my partner who had this hand so I guess they could take your advice!

The thing about this hand is if everyone opens partners hand they will all get to slam... ZOMG 18! But if I have 11 no one will open my hand and no one will get to slam. Anyways the odds I have 11 is probably really small, I have to have no jack.

RESULTS:

My partner bid 7 and I did have Txxxx Kx Ax Axxx. Clubs were 4-2 but they got PSEUDO SQUEEZED (haha yes and they knew my shape...). Everyone else was in game (maybe 1 in small slam, not sure).

Told you. I suspected a pseudo-squeeze. Pull trumps, dummy reversal with hearts, and then squeeze with the diamond pip as the menace?

Or, did you run the pseudo with a Vienna Coup? LOL

No I purposely didn't fake vienna coup because I thought LHO might have JT or something and signal the jack so their partner could pitch from KQ etc. I pulled 2 trumps, ruffed a heart, trump over, ruffed a heart (avoided touching any minor suit until absolutely necessary), club to king, spade, and RHO pitched a club.

The opponents at a club game never "know" anything. LOL

I once intentionally transferred a menace so that I could run a pseudo-squeeze against LHO in the two-card ending, where I would have essentially the club King on dummy and diamond King in hand (LHO holding both Ace equivalents) and a heart three and two to play first. The old trick play where LHO has to remember whether the 2 is still out there.

However, this ruse obviously only works against RHO, as LHO gets to see your hidden card before they play to the trick.

But, as the non-transferred menace was in LHO's hand and could not be transferred, this was all that I had.

Oh, and the 3 was on dummy anyway.

It worked though. Of course. Technically, though, this was in a tournament and not a club game.
