I've been organizing our Federation's library and got several copies of the same Bridge World magazines. As I guess we need only 1 or 2 copies I was thinking I might sell them to the BW (they sell old magazines so maybe they could do something to them), but they're not buying at the time. Any of you interested? Or maybe you can point in a direction Ithat could help me...

I might even change them for books (by the way we have some books we might want to get rid from, like Charles Goren's Precision System which we have some ten copies of).

Maybe you can arrange to have an online bookseller list them for you at amazon and sell them on consignment.

Some people here at the forum might buy some from you through some bbo dollars, if you publish some kind of list too.

Indeed, I might be interested in buying some. I can't imagine that BBO dollars would be any use, though, since they cannot, as far as I know, be withdrawn.

Depending on price and which issues, I could be interested. One possibility, if Fred has no objection to using the forum this way, is to list what you have and provide an address where we could each send in a bid. Presumably you would want to sell an interval of issues, not individual issues. You could set a minimum bid.

I don't suppose Fred wants the forum to turn into ebay, but BW may warrant a special case.

Feel free to post here. If you are trying to sell an interesting collection, like a full set, maybe we can talk Jacki or Rain into putting something up in lobby news.

I recently came into some good luck and was the recipient of almost every BW from 1960-85, but I'm missing a few. I've also made a deal to basically get all the BWs from 85-present, so I'd definitely be interested in filling out the collection. Please post what you have :-)

I also have BW that I would like to sell. Sporadic issues from the 1960's, nearly all from the 70's onward til current. I would love to send it all somewhere where they would be appreciated since I seldom re-read them any more. I wasn't very vigilant in getting back every issue I let somebody borrow so my sets are not all complete.

Hey Phil, the ACBL Used Book website was taken offline early in the year. The magazine section was discontinued almost three years ago.

My personal collection is missing issues, for various reasons.
Cheers,
Carl

Well, before I post the magazines we have (and prices) I'm gonna post what I don't have so that maybe some people can 'swap' me some. I have everything from October 1962 till today (plus some from 195x), but I need:

June '88
November '92
October '98
October '99
January '00
March, April, May '00
September '00
January, February '05
April '05
September, October '05
The whole 2006
January, February '07
February '08
April '08
March '09

31 issues. Anyone interested in selling some?
