in a robot dupli so I opened 1NT.

So my friend the robot bid 2NT transfer to clubs and I bid 3♣. At this point he bid 3♠ showing a singleton spade (6+C, 1-S, 9+total points). There will be follow-ups.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Yeah 4♥ if p understands it. Check if it doesn't promise four hearts (GIB might pass it with 3). Otherwise just bid 5♣ or maybe 4♣.

and where does the OP says that the robot holds 4♥ in fact with 1426 I suspect the bidding would go 2♣ instead of 2NT. So enjoy playing your 33 or 32 trump fit :) I'll just bid either 4 or 5♣

He will never udnerstand 4 Heart as just 3 Hearts, why should he?
Why should anybody understand that as anthing else then a suggestion to play opposite his 3 card suit?

Gib doesn't cue bid? Why would 4H be anything but a cue for clubs?

Playing with GIB I bid 5♣.

GIB may bid 6♣ over 5♣, in which case I just hope it is right.

Too many times I have seen GIB pass a bid like 4♥.

4♣ then 5♣ with gib. He is more likely to bid a bad slam over that than miss a good slam if I bid 4♥ at some point.

OK! So you have to play 5♣ after GIB bids 5♣ over whatever you bid. The lead is the 7 of diamonds and dummy comes down with:

If you play a low diamond from dummy,

I play low on the lead. If the queen wins I finesse clubs. If it goes to the king and a diamond comes back and is ruffed, I base my club play on Gib's tempo when I lead one from my hand. If it goes to the king and a diamond comes back and is not ruffed and LHO plays a higher diamond I finesse clubs (I realize the lead could still have been a doubleton but I can't help myself), but if he plays a lower diamond I'll go up ace of clubs.

I play a low ♦ and play the A♣ on the first lead as 3NT has to go down for me to get a good score

Gib is not underleading the DK here into our 1N opener. I pop ace.

Then I play ace of spades and queen of clubs to the ace. If the CK is on we are getting screwed since the field will bid 3N with a spade stopper. So lets hope it's off and let's not go down.

If both follow I strip out the hand and exit a club in case I was wrong about gib underleading the DK and it happened to have Kx of clubs onside so I can endplay it.

I followed the line suggested by pooltuna (I hope you're not offended by my thread title-it was meant for me :rolleyes: ) and went down 1. Some people were indeed in 3NT and some people got to slam I think some gibs jumped to 6 if they heard 4H. Of course if I had played 6C I'd have made it:D
