I am using Ubuntu 9.04.
The BBO program does not show the card symbols (heart, diamons, spade etc ) correctly and in all places. Sometimes it only shows a square instead of the card symbol.

The block showing all the bids, shows squares instead of card symbols, maling it impossible to to understand exactly what the bid is.

How do I correct this and where??

Thanks for all help.

you need the symbol.ttf on your computer... card symbols are called up from that. Some of the linux guys will tell you were you need to place it for it to work.

Does this one help? No idea if you need something else.

Also, ubuntu 9.10 (due to release in few days) comes with wine1.2 and a package named ttf-symbol-replacement.
