Bidding:
1♦-2♣-Dbl-pass
3♣-pass-4♥!!!
a> Do you agree with opener's 3♣ rebid?
b> What holds our partner with Dbl and 4♥?
c> What would be responder's 4♣ rebid?

pard could have a major 2suiter, perhaps
with better hearts.
It is true that 4C could mean the same but
a) if you want to split hairs, then 4C would mean
that he has both majors equally strong-long, while
4H-S would imply a preference for the major named,
return cuebid and risk playing a 3-0 fit

- I think the best bid with your hand is 3D. You can then bid 3NT after 3H and bid 4S after 3S.
- The way I play negative DBL's:
DBL shows a hand with support in Majors, but no 5-card Major or hand that is not strong enough to bid 2H or 2S.
4H (after the DBL) does show clear preference for H (5 card or 6 card) and about 7-9 HCP. He could also bid 3H, but after 1D-(2C)-DBL-3D-3H he don't want to pass a 3NT bid by you. Therefor he immediatly bids 4H. The best contract in his opinion.

If so, what do you bid with this hand?

After 1♦-(2♣)-
I would bid DBL because not strong enough to bid 2♥ forcing. I could also pass because very minimal, but with singleton ♣ and support in both Majors I will probably bid DBL.

So what does p have with his bidding: a nice hand with 4+♥s, no slam possible.

Free, 3C is not picking a major, it only shows a good hand. Jumping to 3D is not gameforcing, it is only invitational. I think 3C is reasonable with this hand.

First dbl is correct, but as 3C is gf, you can bid 3H after pd's 3c. then pd will rebid 4d, and u can raise to 5d. Jumping to 4H looks more like 6h4/5s.

Agree.
But I would add for 3C: not sure what the best contract is. so, Probably support for majors.

I would bid 3D. Shows a 15-17 pts hand with good 6 card D. Isn't that what you have?
Partner will only pass if really (sub-)minimal and without D support.
I expect him to show stopper (Hearts I hope) for 3NT.

the question is, now what? 5♦ i guess...

Bidding 3♦ (instead of 3♣) is another possibility. However, unless your agreements are that 3♦ is 100% forcing, I wouldn't risk doing it and have partner pass with Axxx KJxx xxx xx and miss a game.

Agree with you hongjun. Not only on this post, but on the other as well.
If we play 2♥ forcing it looks like partner holds a weak ♥ 1-suiter, and we have reached our best contract.
If we play 2♥ as NFB partner´s jump to 4♥ is a splinter bid with ♦ support, how had the opponents hidden 12/13 ♥ untill now? I don´t care, that is their problem, ask for aces to play 7.

I don't think anything is wrong with 3♦, at least when playing with me. I will have a good hand with 6 nice ♦.
Now we have a problem, 4♥ shows better (and/or longer) ♥ then ♠
I can bid 5♦, but if pd misunderstood my 3♣ bid, which he did, we are in for trouble.
