1.

Pass (masterminding) and 1N (why?) are wrong, so that leaves redouble and 1.

I really don't like redbl with a bare aceless 10 and most of my stuff in one suit.

Partner having opened in 3rd seat maybe redouble isn't SO right, but that's what I'll do.

I voted for 1, but I don't hate 1NT. I think 1NT is better than redouble because I'm really not excited about defending 2m doubled (which might hang partner for opening a bit light in 3rd seat).

I think that redouble is best by far. Just how much more than a bare aceless 10-count are we supposed to have as a passed hand. 1S is my second choice and I really don't see the merits of 1NT.

If partner did open light then we haven't lost the board yet. If partner does have a full opening then we have KQJ10 of spades and they are red.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

XX. 1 close second choice. Would not pass or bid 1NT.

XX and 1 are both reasonable. I pretty much agree with Nigel... slight edge for XX. (As an aside, I just posted this as a neutral 3rd party, I'm not actually involved)

Rdbl, I really do not want to steal their spade suit but I can understand 3rd seater tendencies which make 1S bid as good as Rdbl. Almost, anyway.
Pass and 1NT are IMO out to lunch.

Rdbl. Switch the majors to bid 1S. Nah, no 'baby' psych.

I play xfers here. Red->S, 1S->C, 2C->D, 2D->H with 2+DT, 2H/3H for total tricks raises with no promise of defense. Often gets help suit raise in, but long suit signoff or lead direct likely by passed hand.

Lol, I am the only one who passed. If partner has opened in first or second position, I'd redouble, but here I am never raising the level when probably no side has a fit, and opps can easily have more points than us.

Don't your partners never open light in third? Especially at favorable. I won't consider 1 in any position, but that's just my style.

I supose that this is not standard but I would easilly rebid 2 then, XX denies support for me.

If partner has opened in 1st/2nd, rdbl creates a FP in certain situations (I probably wouldn't be able to enumerate them :) ).

Should this still be the case when he opens in 3rd? Obviously this should depend on how frivolous our 3rd seat openings are, but is there a "standard" ?
