Problem #1
Scoring: IMP

It goes: 3-(3)-?

Problem #2
Scoring: IMP

You open in 4th 1 and with opps. silent, it goes:
1-2nt*-?
* 2nt was a max passed hand
Should 3 be forcing; Is 4 GF?

Problem #3
Scoring: IMP

It goes: (1)-?

Hand 1:

We have a fit in clubs
They have a fit (and it sure isn't in Spades)
5 seems pretty clear

Hand 2: (I am presuming that 2NT shows a spade fit)

I'd bid 3, natural and forcing

Hand 3:

4. I'll rebid 4NT if they settle into Spades

1. 5C with 4xC fit.
2. Strong Notrump After Pass, SNAP makes 3C GF. Still GF after 2NT =max pass.
3. Overcall Structure uses 2NT>1C as H+2nd with 7 losers. This hand fits that. Without OS, fearing their spades, 1H and fight this one out: H+D vs. S+C likely.

1. 5. I might make this on a spade lead, or it might be cold, or it might be a good sac against 4. Anyone that thinks they will be able to defend spades is kidding themselves.

2. Depends on what 2N means. If its 11-12 balanced, I bid 4. If it promises support, 3 looks normal, but I might psyche a cue of 3 on my way to 6.

3. 1, but have sympathy for 4, although I really want the 10 for this call. By the way to Dake50: Playing Overcall Structure, 2N does show hearts + another, but the lower count is 0-4 or 0-5, depending on your standards not 7 losers. 2 show the weaker hands with /. Even if I were playing OS, I wouldn't make either call with 6/5

1) you can take s out of the picture by bidding 5

2) 3 should be forcing! 4 is Gerber? B)

3) show your 2 suited hand before they get s in; 2NT

Well if I double ... certainly. But a pass in tempo could go through, and might be our best chance at a plus score.

1) 5C.

2) I'm not sure (Bidding 2NT as passed hand without a fit isn't my style).

3) 1H. No need to jump around when it could easily be our deal. Even if the opponents do have a big spade fit, I will often get to show my diamonds at a reasonable level. For example after: (1C) 1H (1S) P (2S) 3D (4S) partner is perfectly placed.

1. 5
2. 4. 3 should be forcing but 4 is descriptive. Slight worry that those who suggested Gerber above may not have been joking.
3. 1. May get to bid diamonds below the 5 level and involve partner in the final decision. Reluctant to use UNT with 6-5 and anyway I play it weak or strong and this isn't enough for a strong one.

Come on, tell the truth. If 2N shows a spade fit, you'd bid 5 (Exclusionary Blackwood).

Only 20% of the time (for example with the possession of club 6)
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
