Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

I'm not pulling double to 5s if 5dx comes back to me regardless of what I bid now, so I'll feel a lot more comfortable if I've shown spades than if I've shown hearts.
I'm not too worried about the constructive aspects. If partner can make a slam opposite this junk, he's likely to move over 4s anyway.

Not convinced by 3♥ "fit non-jump" -- what do you bid with a maximum passed hand and a heart suit? If you have to double and lose the ability to distinguish between five good hearts and four mediocre hearts, I'm not convinced that the benefits of playing fit non-jumps are going to compensate you in the long run.

If pard opens 4-card majors in third seat, and/or is prone to super light openings, 3S is a good idea. On the point about having passed a good hand with long hearts, we can construct a few which would not open 2 or 3 hearts the first time, but probably not enough worry about if fit showing non-jumps are your cup of tea.

Well you might have opened 2H to begin with.
