Curious as to how you would find a minor suit game or slam in say a 5314 shape.

Anyway, I misread the original problem and thought it was over a 15-17NT, not that that has any relevance to the comment above.

I gave the commonly used structure for both Majors.

For GF+ Major/minor 2-suiters you only need a "good" 4 cds minor:

1NT - 2D!/2H!
2M - 3m = 5M/4+m

"Commonly used" by whom? Certainly not by me or anyone I know. Playing this sequence as 5/5 is a waste of a sequence imo.
