Hi all,

Does anybody know Nightmare (Lanzarotti-Buratti) System? I have a huge file of it, but dont understand what they open with 16-17 6+clubs?

Also, I like 1c: 15-20 any bal, 11+ unbal
1d: 11+ unbal
1nt: 11-14
1h/1sp: 13+, 2h/2sp: 9-12 5+cards
2d: multi etc.

Do you have any suggestions about weak nt systems?

Don't know, but here in Nuremberg the expert standard is something similar:

* 5-card majors with weak NT
* 1♣ = natural / 15 - 20 NT
* 1♦ promises 5 unless 4441

Don't know what this has to do with "Nightmare". Except that 1♣ has an 1♦ negative (0 - 5 or invitational without 4-card major), not much in common with what the Italians play.

i have played nightmare for about 3 years with ahu(zobu).
and will be glad to guide you about the details.

1c=15-17 bal 2+c
15+ unbal 4414, 5+c
GF any (2c opening in standart)

so the answer for your question is 1c

re,

with that hand you have two options

1) 1c-1d
3c = 15-17 natural 6+c

2) 15-17 but also rich in tricks (very good club suit)
1c-1d
2d = 5+c-4d or 6+c reverse

Actually you only have 1 option: call the TD because you only have 12 cards...
