Now if partner rebids 1/2NTs, many pairs won't be able to get out in 2/3♣. In contrast, 1♣ can often be a short suit, so 1♣ passed out might be horrible.

After 1♣-p-p it is almost compulsory for 4th seat to take action
If 4th seat re-opens with a protective double and this is also followed by 2 passes, then it would be a good time to bid 1♠

I bid 1S if not playing a jump to 2H as 4H-5S weak usually 4-8, it goes against my positive outlook to pass.

My opinion still stands the same as the other thread. I will point out one factor for this change in that partner has opened 1C. It's more attractive to bid now (I would respond 1S) because you want to improve your partial. 3-1 club fits aren't usually that attractive.
So 1) you're improving your partscore and 2) shutting LHO with the bidding space with 1S.
If partner rebids 1NT, I plan to rebid 2H natural NF. If partner rebids 2NT I use the sequence to bail out in 3S.
