Lets say the Opener held: JT9xx, Qxxxx, AK, x. Would you say this was a clear 4♥ call?

I don't know about you, but this isnt an opener for me, but it was the hand in question.

I don't think it's obvious. In fact, I would pass 4♦ and leave pard's double in!!

Heck, pard may have a 2326 or someting and we can't make a thing.

Pass and pull is stronger (or 6-4) than direct 4H (distributional and unwilling to defend 4DX). Double indicates some trump tricks in 4DX and inclined to defend. If partner pulls, we are trying for slam. I liked han's examples.
