Probably not popular but I would also pass. I think partner is a strong favorite to have some strong balanced hand and anything I bid now is going to get us into trouble. Pass then spades will be a good description.

agree with pass -- either LHO is about to bid some large number of diamonds or partner has the big hand double (and therefore might have only 2 spades)
