1♦-x-p-2♦
x-p-3♦-?
what would (should) x and p mean?
what do you bid?
IMPs favourable (does it matter?)

Double of 3♦ is for penalties.
Pass says you have nothing more to say that you haven't already said with your 2♦ bid.
On this hand you should bid 4♦ - partner must bid a game in the unbid suit of his choosing.
And no, the form of scoring and the vulnerability makes no difference on this hand.

Should p's pass deny a 4-card major? If so I pass and convert p's double to 4♣.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

What do you think partner's pass of 2♦x means? I'd expect him to bid a major if he had one, so this suggests 3325 or 3334. I'd just bid 5♣.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I agree partner likely has 33 in the majors, so I would bid clubs. At the game level.

Agree with 5♣. Not only is 4♦ not obvious but it's clearly wrong (at least if you intend to pass a 4-major bid) since partner will automatically bid a major here, even if 3-3, expecting us to be longer in the majors.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

x is penalty (i.e. clearly wrong). P is ok, but i like 3♥ best here. Doesnt matter vul or not.

x of 3♦ is penalties. Pass over 2♦x should deny a 4-card major. I'm bidding 5♣ now - as several others.
Kind regards,
