When I click on a news item in the windows client, the item is page a opened in IE even though that is not my default browser. When I do the same in the Flash version, the page is opened in my default browser.

This is not a complaint, just a curiosity. Is this controlled by something local, or is it BBO determined?

Thanks,
Tim

Setting BROWSER_TYPE=C in bbover.ini should do the trick.

The windows client explicitly uses IE when it wants to embed a web browser ( for instance, when it embeds a browser into the lobby news window ).

I don't recall how it invokes a browser when you click on a link (in, say, a chat message ) but it might invoke FF there.

Already set.

Again, just a curiosity, and between you, I think I've gotten the answer.

Thanks.
