Hi guys,

Here are some recurring areas where GIB has shown weakness in recent money bridge play

1) Response to RKC : GIB appears to assume the higher number of keycards. It has happened often enough to cause pain in both the out column and joy in the IN column.

2) At the five level : GIB would be a far stronger player if there were just a blind rule to not bid at the 5-level or 6-level after partner's double. Especially in some auctions where stuff like this happens :: We bid hearts, they bid clubs, we pass out four hearts and the guy in passout saves with five clubs. We double but GIB now decides to roll out 6H !!

3) Ban redoubles at the five and six levels.

4) Running after a penalty double at low levels. GIB's alleged human partner is supposed to have bit more of a clue about what is going on at the table. If human rescues from a doubled contract, GIB often tries to play in the same denomination one level higher......

More or less, i think GIB plays fine. Its mostly the five and six levels where its causing some randomness.

In declarer play, on some rare occassions, it does some completely bozo stuff (but i have already made a suggestion re: making GIB dummy in a different post)...

Keep up the great work in improving GIB !
