booting new rules for booting

I have booted players myself for being rude, after warning them.
I suggest some rules for booting:
Booting may only take place for rude, critical or insulting behaviour, or for destructive bridge, such as bidding 7NT with garbage, or psyching 3 times.
Before booting, the offender should receive a warning.
If the offender continues to offend, he/she may be booted.
The table should receive a message that the player has been removed when any booting takes place (especially for no reason) so the other players do not think the booted player has rudely left.
The host should email BBO's booting department (to be created) to explain his action, and include the chat or other relevant reason for his action.
If a host boots more than, say, twice a week without adequate reason, he should be prevented from hosting for a period of time, say, 3 months.

Just send a note to Abuse. I'm sure they keep records and if there is a pattern, then the perp will get a time out.

I have never had a satisfactor result from BBO's "abuse" line, and rude behaviour at the table continues and seems more frequent.

Then according to the OP you would need a reason for booting 12000 people, talk about carpal tunnel!

i reread the OP... i think i'm in favor of a booting department, so long as it is actually officially called that.

Whoever plays nicely in given reasonable time period i never boot. For sure misclicks very rarely may happen, but a studious TD reseats quickly. To me special list allowed to play is a very good solution.
General problems in any TD's perspective :
*Some players don't play tho TD reminds, either they are afk or stuck
*Some players discuss about a fine adjustment with poor explanations and stop th game intentionally
*Some players insist to replace crashed partner tho a few rounds passed
*Some players complaint abt partner or opp tho TD forwards "how to take a screenshot link" and "abuse@ email". But it's mistaken as TD is not impartial. Then irrelevant debate starts.
*Some players think there are no other tables, so their wish should be quickly fixed. No matter TD advertises th facts shortly.
*Some players get bored or upset and leave as pair or individually then jump another event. They never care substitutes list full or empty. Practically it causes to waste time and delays.
*TD sometimes put such players into black list so boot next time. But then clean partner discuss and causes delays.
*Some players like to have unfair advantages.
If a TD really wants to keep the unity of th room any other chance except to boot and get a sub quickly?
I don't think there's anything personal.
Have you ever received more than five TD calls in 10 seconds while there were not enough subs in any format ?
I feel there are a few players read help files and follow ethics & rules. Rest only care to satisfy a hunger.
Sorry noone is able to fix things less than a second. I don't encourage obstinacy. Instead I guarantee to fix incompleted things even after Tour finished within 10 minutes.
I am against extravagant consumption. A TD should only deal with directing. No time to solve behavioral issues on a running event.

Excessive number of either will probably trigger the auto ban.
Set up a table of your own if you want more control over who plays at your table.

Moreover what can anyone do if there's a "emergency, srry gtg" msg ? Then a host aren't supposed to get a sub?
As I read on a BBO file when i started online TDing 2.5 years ago:
"TDing is a work, not a big work but it's not for everyone."
It's really hard to please everybody on public events in any branch of life, but really no big deal. I learnt it when my sister's father-in-law received a traffic ticket when we were back to his car after leaving hospital's emergency unit. While he was Chief of police forces in th city he simply prerred to smile bitterly. Th matter is whether one honest and respectful to himself/herself or not and th rest are just funny details.

Dear Sir or Madam
I write to apply for a position in the booting department.
I have extensive experience in booting, my master degree was written about the BOOTSTRAP TECHNIQUE.
At the same time i am compassionate booter as, on the day I was born, I bid out of turn, was hatched prematurely, and fell on my head.
Signed
Betty Booty

Th real problem : T I M E element.
On a running tourney with at least 20 tables participants you have no chance to hire a secretary as a Host.

Of course booters are marked as enemies, as are rude players, and avoided, but that does not alleviate the distress one feels upon being booted by the next person.

Surely I am not the only person who hates being booted.
I am convinced everyone hates it.
If we all wanted to be host, we would forever be waiting for players.

You're right, no one likes being booted.
Many of us only play with friends, though, and so may not have much experience being booted, and therfore don't consider it a big problem. Or else host the table ourselves.
I knkow it's easy to say this (having never been booted) but I would try to figure out why you were booted, and then decide if this is something that's your fault, or their's. For example, were you in over your head (as relates to skill level)? Were people constantly asking you to play faster? Was someone asking you to leave because you inadvertantly sat at a seat before the person could reserve it?
I agree it would be NICE if one gave others a reason for booting them, but a lot of the time one just doesn't want to have any contact with the bootees.
My one near-experience with being booted was someone cancelling a teamgame in the middle. I contacted the person and asked for a reason/apology, and he told me that he wasn't enjoying it. Needless to say I'm not playing in teamgames organized by this person again. And that would be my advice to you: If you get booted once in a while, "enemy" the table host and avoid that person's table. If it's more than once in a while, see what you're doing wrong, and try to fix that.
