Someone other than me will be able to help you, but they may want to know: are you using the Windows client software or the Flash web-based software to get to the server? Have you tried both and get the same result? What is your native language and operating system?

We had this problem in the past, but it has been long since someone had it. The solution was to download something I believe.
Updating your browser might also work.

The windows client uses the a Symbol TrueTypeFont so there has to be a file called "symbol.ttf" somewhere in your windows directory.
If this font is not installed you don't see the suit symbols.
The font is on your windows CD.

I don't think I've heard before of a normal Windows installation missing this font. However, it's a frequent problem with people trying to use the Windows client under the WINE emulator (including CrossOver Mac), because it uses the fonts from the host OS, and the symbol font is not generally included (Microsoft has it copyrighted).

My (standard) MacOS installation features 3 fonts with "symbol" in the name: OpenSymbol, Symbol, and AppleSymbols. All are true type fonts. OpenSymbol is copyright Sun Microsystems, the other two are copyright by Apple. All three include the four suit symbols.
