I just bid 2. My hand's not that great. Playing precision... tough. I guess I'll bid 3.

How confident can I be that p has four hearts? If it's certain I would probably bid 3 in Precision. In standard, 2 is enough anyway.

I'll try 3h

2h could be so weak for me....5422 with 10-11 hcp.

2 in Precision--QJx is rather worse than worthless on this bidding. You certainly don't want to encourage partner to bid 4 with support and an extra queen. You won't do it, of course, but it might even be the winning action to leave the double in.

3 in precision. This is a very nice hand (only five losers) and it's easy to make 4 opposite two aces and out (for example). Bidding only 2 might not be a real suit, much less such a nice hand as this one.

In standard methods where 1 has a higher minimum and maximum, it is very close. I'd lean towards 2.

2, and no. Aceless, tenless and overendowed with diamond honours,
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

2, but you don't really need to change that much to get me to bid more.

2 is more than plenty. Wasted diamonds and spade KQ is hitting x or xx probably.

Some LTC addicts might bid 3. But aceless and with no fillers in spades, makes 2 the correct bid.
Kind regards,
Harald

2, unless my 1M opening is limited to 14... Which it is in one partnership (LOL).

Partner has Ax T98x Ax Jxxxx. At the table, opener rebid 2 and responder passed, missing a good game. It was suggested that responder should have bid 2, as there is a significant chance that opener has only three hearts on this auction.
