Something new for me :

when I click on a .lin file to watch the movie, the software creates 6 empty sub-directories on my hard disk in the .lin file directory :
bm_results
constraints
convcards
lists
players
temp

BBO needs those directories and attempts to create
them whenever the BBO application is run.

The directories are supposed to be sub-directories of
the BBO home directory, but if the BBO program cannot
figure out what this is (perhaps because the program was
not installed using one of our official setup.exe programs,
or because the Windows registry has been tampered with
in some way), I could see this happening.

Recent versions of the BBO software assume that the
home directory of BBO is the same directory in which
NetBridgeVu.exe resides if it is unable to figure out the
home directory using its "normal" algorithm.

The code for this had varying degrees of problems up until
the release of 3.7.2 (I think it is working correctly now).

That is probably the reason. I have NetBridgeVu.exe installed with your setup.exe, but lately I installed also the 3.4.8 version in a temp directory for a test. I uninstalled the 3.4.8 after the test but NetBridgeVu seems now to be lost as far as home directory is concerned.

Not a big problem. Many thanks for explanation.

EDITED AT UTC 16:25 :
I corrected back the path to NetBridgeVu.exe in my Registry Base and now all is OK : it doesn't create those empty sub-directories any more.
