Scoring: IMP

1N - 2
2 - 3N

You lead the T, small diamond from dummy, 8 from partner, K from declarer.

Declarer goes after clubs, and partner wins the third round with the A while you pitch your small spade spot (upside down attitude), declarer had Jxx.

Partner plays the 7, declarer plays the Q, now what?

K, and return 10, cut off declarer's communication.
He could be Jxx AQJx AKx Jxx.

Declarer wins, plays a diamond to dummy, cashes his clubs and plays a spade to the jack. We have to give him two more tricks in one hand or the other.

Did we let this through by throwing a spade, or were dummy's spots good enough anyway?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
