3♣. I will not punish partner for balancing. If partner has a hand that I can make game opposite, partner can bid again.

p.s. it's MPs, not IMPs :P.

I double - expecting a 3 diamond bid by LHO and I will double that and lead a diamond.

Double collects 300-500 if partner takes it as penalty. I bid 3♣, and LHO went to a tank before passing, RHO missinterpreted the UI and went for 800.
