I thought this is an easy 3D unless I'm missing something. Really can't see our "source" of tricks in any NT contract and if our tricks are based on power, I believe the opponents would be able to set up their 5/6 tricks before we set our suit(s) up. At least partner can be 6-5 or I can still get a club ruff or something.

3♦ does seem rather obvious. I can't imagine why anyone would want to play this hand in any number of notrumps.

Someone also told me that -800 usually is not a very good score.

I pass like Csaba, maybe partner will figure out what I have and act accordingly or they do not double us and this is less expensive then any other contract.

My partner showed both minor suits. I have a preference. I show it by bidding 3♦.

Is there something wrong with this algorithm?

I'd bid 3♦, however, if I knew what partner was up to, I'd pass and let him declare this ***** himself.
