Well 3.6.9 didn't last very long.... :P

Only changes are a few bug fixes that people reported in 3.6.9.

Suggest you read the 3.6.9 thread for more information.
If you downloaded 3.6.9, suggest you download 3.7.0 as
one of the problems I fixed was pretty serious.

You can update your BBO to the latest version at:

3.7.0 Update

or download everything (including the latest) from scratch at:

3.7.0 Setup

hi ..something odd in 3.7.0 ..
click on 'Explore Bridge' .. click on problems (cant remember exact title)..
nothing happens ..no buttons operative. Return to lobby ..now click on 'Explore Bridge' ..no result at all ..click ignored. (possibly other key-combinations produce same result ..will test again later (tourney about to start ;) )

Thanks for the report, Dog, but can you please describe
in detail how you achieved this state (ie what did you click
from Explore Bridge!)? I tried to replicate the problem by
clicking in various places, but failed.

Thanks,

Hi.. i tried again after the tourney ..was 'Double Dummy' entry i chose 1st time.
However , unable to reproduce the problem. Only difference I am aware of is that 'viewgraph' was active when i re-tried, was inactive on the first occassion.
Will test again later. Rgds Dog. ;)

When I created a tourney on bbo to start in exactly 10 hours, then came back a few minutes later, it still read 10 hours, then after I logged out for a few hours, the tourney clock started to count down from when I logged out(I think)

the tourney clock does not go down 10 hours, then 9 hours, 59 minutes, etc. it only goes based on hours.

The tourney clock updates more frequently as the tourney start time approaches.

Hi, not sure if these are 3.7 bugs or not but am using the beta software so thought I would post here - two strange things have happened (each only once) since i started using the beta.

1. We got the wrong result for one board - that is, at our table we were assigned another table's result for that board, although in myhands the score was reflected correctly.

2. Today after finishing the bidding of a hand, I was dummy and saw all four hands. All of a sudden the bidding undid back to my last bid and what I could see was the bidding box, my last bid in place, and the opps not bidding at all. I didnt know what was going on so I asked the table and actually didn't receive any answers until I saw my partner type "well are you going to accept the claim" and then the hand was over with the score in place. So apparently for this one hand, from my perspective as dummy, the bidding was removed back to my last bid and I never saw a card played.

As I said, each of these things have happened only once - I have no idea how to replicate them. We were playing imps in the main bridge club both times, different days tho, and previous and subsequent hands were perfectly normal.

Thanks, Julie

There is a new bug in version 3.7.0. When you are playing or kibitzing at a table, the "Tables", "Lobby" and "Tourneys" buttons no longer work (or rather only work half. You see the top row, and you see a strange shade following the trace of the last card that has been played)

I got the same problem. When I click Lobby/Table/Tourneys, the chat window just show 2 scroll bars with the contents still as the chat windows.

I am not sure but to the best of memory I do not have this problem when I first install 3.7.0. Since once I crashed in BBO (need to close program manually), I got the problem.

I tried to reinstall the software but the problem remains. My firewall used to warn me whenever I update my BBO, but it doesnt for the reinstalled 3.7.0.

But suddenly it recovers!. The buttons work nicely. I dont know why.

I've had two strange things happen to me since updating. One I would love to keep, the other is a problem.

The keeper is this ...... yesterday I was subbing in a tourney at about 5:15 ET and my RHO actually doubled his partner's bid ....... yep, no kidding - my partner passed in between!!! I want to keep this so I can double my partner's bids when it's appropriate LOLOLOLOL!!!! Of course there were server problems at that time (the tournament ended up being cancelled) but I really did love this snafu :-).

The second was an occassion a few days back when one of my opps asked a question about a bid I had made. The bidding went on while I was answering the question - in fact it was my turn to bid again when I pressed the ENTER key to send the answer ..... BUT!!!!! as soon as I pressed the ENTER key, all the bidding disappeared back to the bid that I was answering a question about - just like an UNDO. Since this was a tourney and UNDO's were not allowed, I know it wasn't and UNDO. At any rate, I was locked up from that point and ended up having to be replaced :-(. (Please UDAY, don't penalize me for intentional disconnect).

((playing Twilight Zone theme here))

3.7.0

Intermittent annoyance; when playing in tournaments (not sure if same happens on regular table) and click to Lobby or Tables or Tournament, when I click back to Chat I have lost ability to scroll through the chat messages and the chat is frozen where I left it. If I send a chat message it unfreezes and all is ok.

I've noticed this, but I don't think this is new to 3.7.0. It has been like this since I first started directing tournaments, many moons ago

Today playing rubber we were down and 200 points gone ....guess... to us, all 4 players mentioned that. That was only once.

Another bug, when opening movie directly from BBO, in the table at left it is showing for example contract 4 spades by West, and in the right bidding box - contract 4 spades by North, i.e. bidding is "pushed" one place clockwise.

Don't know if this is a bug but am using 3.7.0:

I was playing in a tourney the contract, if it matters, was 6C doubled. The bidding had finished and my partner had led. Both my partner and I were then faced with the bidding square again with only one round of bidding showing whereas there had been 4. Our opps could still see the hands, the full bidding and the initial lead. My partner left the club and returned - everything was back as it should be for her so I did the same with the same result.

The contract went off if anybody is interested :-)

I have heard a few reports like this one (ie auctions reverting
to earlier rounds of bidding) and I am pretty sure the problem
will be fixed in 3.7.1 (coming soon).

I have also had some reports about claims being "automatically
rejected" in some cases and, if this is really happening, I would
like to figure out why and fix it.

If anyone has seen this and has information that might be
helpful (like a description of the symptons and a guess at
how often it happens) please let me know.
