1NT - 2♠ - ?
1NT is 15-17 and 2♠ is natural. You have some hand with six clubs.
Say you want to compete with
♠xx ♥xx ♦xxx ♣KQTxxx
invite with
♠xxx ♥Ax ♦xx ♣QJxxxx
force with
♠Axx ♥xxx ♦x ♣AQJxxx
Of course you may not agree with these assessments but let's forget that.
Playing your chosen methods, do you give up on one of these?
For instance, if 2NT says "please bid 3♣" does opener always comply or is he allowed to bid 3♦+ on a max with a club fit.
Or do you give up on competing with sub-minimums to give opener more leeway?
Or something else?

I have been considering something like this:
X=T/O.
2NT= lebensohl sign-off ♣/♦/♥. 2NT+any strong action = GF with clubs.
3♣= ♦ inv or better.
3♦= ♥ inv or better.
3♥, 3♠ various GF hands.

It's easy enough to use 2NT as weak with any suit (or to show/deny stoppers etc) and otherwise use transfers, which lets you invite with any suit but clubs.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

We should always assume 2/1 unless otherwise stated, because:
- If the original poster didn't bother to state his system, that means that he thinks it's obvious what he's playing. The only people who think this are 2/1 players.

Give up the invite.
You have two way to bid 3C, hence
you can show 2 types, you have to
give up 1 hand.
Bidding 3D over 2NT is not an option,
because this commits the partnership
to 4C, assumingyou play that 2NT
showes clubs and is not just a relais.
With kind regards
Marlowe

I've played Transfer Lebensohl, as Michael sugested, losing only invitational hand with clubs. I also saw people who play 2NT Leb, 3m - invite, 3♥ forc, slow shows, just not bidding the long minor when forcing.
