BBO forum regular gnasher (Andy Bowles) has just been selected to play for England in the upcoming Camrose matches in March.

As this is his first England selection, and the first trials he's played in since he started posting on the forums, the two must clearly be related.

Congrats!

I'm not sure whether to take this as a sign that conversation with the forumers pays off or to advise Andy to disregard everything we have said if he wants to win. LOL
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

Well done, especially considering the competition he must be up against.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. Before anyone starts questioning the sanity of the selectors, I should point out that as the host nation England enters two teams, and I'm in the lesser of the two. So, even if I chuck dozens of IMPs through forgotten methods and floored games it won't matter much, because everyone will be watching the real England team anyway.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
