I give him a constructive raise with 2 ♠.
Yes maybe we play 2 Spade when slam is possible, but I would need a fourth trump to get exited about this hand.
If I don't play constructive raise, I go for a limit raise with 3 trumps, so 1 NT followed by 3 Spade.

GF with 2♣ and then bid spades. I am not willing to stop below game, maybe sometimes we get to a bad slam or a bad game but usually game will make and that is why we need not stop short of game.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
