I believe anything but 1♠ is AWFUL.

Who says we don't have a good suit? I'd rather have this hand for 1♠ than KT432, xx, x, A8xxx.

I imagine that someone who believed that J10973 wasn't good enough to overcall on would have thought the same about K10432.

At pairs you need to go with the flow and step in. Not the sort of suit I like to get in with but the shape sure argues in favor of competing.

No, the overcall or lack of an overcall made little or no difference to the final contract or play of the hand. I posted the had because I would have expected a near unanimous forum answer of "1♠, wtp", so I was a little surprised to see 2/5 forum regulars in the individual pass with this hand.
