It's Roland Walds birthday today.

Roland puts down a lot of work for all bridgeplayers worldwide, making sure there's always enough commentators on the BBO vugraph broadcasts. A hopeless task, but Roland manages this in an excellent way!

Gratulerer masse med dagen, Roland!!
Kind regards,
Harald

Maybe I am a bumblebee. In theory, it should physically be impossible for it to fly because the wings are too small and soft to carry the heavy body. Fortunately, the bumblebee is clueless re physics and flies nevertheless! :)

When folks asked why I switched over to BBO I answered that it was because of the viewgraph shows. Of course I could have watched the shows on BBO and played elsewhere but that didn't appeal to me. It's great, and I thank BBO for bringing it to us and I thank Roland and his crew of commentators for their work.

Happy Birthday.

The viewgraph shows are truly a tremendous service for all of us who love bridge! Thanks for all your work on them, Roland, and have a wonderful birthday.

It's nice to have a birthday, but it's more important to grow old in front of a live audience of bridge players from around the world. Or something like that...

For those who need translation from my terrible sense of humor, that was a pathetic attempt at satirizing Roland's post signature.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
