For those with a little more brains I will also add what happens if you double with the strong club swan. Partner jumps to 2H and the auction quickly becomes quite interesting:

(1D) - Dbl - 2H
3C - 3H
3S - 4S
??

Partner sometimes bids a hand very well but that could be by accident. What's your next call?
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

If you redouble 3C on the third hand then LHO bids 2D and partner bids 3C. Say you bid 3S now then partner bids 4H. Your call?

5♦ next as I'm willing to drive to slam now. I will bid 5♠ over 5♥ and 5NT over 5♠. Up to partner now.

Let me see:

1♦-2♣-P-P-
X-XX-2♦-3♣-
P-3♠-P-4♥?

Partner had insufficient values to advance 2♣, including either a raise or a new suit bid. After 2♣ is redoubled, with 2♥ and 2♠ available, he chose 3♣, but he did not pass. After our 3♠ call, he now bypasses 3NT, 4♣, and 4♦ to bid 4♥. So, what does he have?

He must like the 3♠ bid. I think he has the heart Ace, Q-J of spades, and Qx of clubs. Something like ♠QJx ♥Axxx ♦xxxx ♣Qx. Actually, that may be too much for this sequence. I'm looking at the spade 10, which confuses me. Maybe Qxx in spades? Maybe J9x?

I'm not sure what he has, but I'm having a difficult time assessing a hand where we do not have a shot here. 6♣ for me.

EDIT: I'm NOT going to taunt partner into a grand. That cannot be right, IMO.

I don't mind threads with more than 1 hand.

1. 2♠
2. Show a forcing 5-5 majors hand, followed by 5♦ exclusion.
3. I start with a double and follow that up with ♣
4. The choice is between the reds, but ♦ seems too speculative and may give the contract. If we finesse partner with the lead, declarer would've probably managed to go right anyway.

Far better than hands with more than one thread.

On 1 I bid 2H. Partner has AQJxx xx xx J10xx.

On 2 partner has AQ10 xx AKQxx xxx. 6S is excellent and 6H is decent.

On 4 declarer has AKQxxxxxx AKx x - and dummy has the club ace but no entry. Any lead but a club beats it.

On #1: Oops!

On #2: Yeah, 6♠ should be reached, and no more.

On #4: :)
