How long do you think it is reasonable for a player to be inactive at a speedball table at the beginning?

My partner was booted by the director after one minute of activity. When the director came to the table he didn't ask me anything and just booted my partner. When my partner returned the ACBL director wouldn't reply to my messages asking if it was possible to replace him. This seemed rude to me, especially as I've paid for playing.

Any guidelines BBO or ACBL issue for this? .

I'll pass this on to Jacki -- she (among other things ) oversees the ACBL program here.

You can reach her via email as well --- jacki@ or acbl@bridgebase.com

note: In ACBL games on BBO: the player who was subbed will automatically be returned to his seat when he logs back in ( at the end of the current hand, if his sub is still playing a board )
