Responsive double rebid

2S by partner would have been non-forcing.

I think its very likely that pard has 2=1 in the minors. At MPs I would pass, hoping for +300 or so. Maybe its right to do that at IMPs too.
Fred's words beckon as I consider 2♥. Considering I would make the same call with xxx KJx AJxxx xx, this really feels like a serious underbid.
Put me down for 3♥. I would like a 4th trump, but otherwise I think this is a good value bid.

I'd be interested to hear more opinions on 2♦ vs 2♥. I feel the 4-3 moysian should play well enough. Though some may feel pard should have more than a singleton of ♦ tolerance for their responsive double in case pard has no Major.
I'm not sure I want to jump when we may have no 8 card fit. Pard can still invite over 2♥ with 5♥s and I'll move then. But going higher with values but no fit seems risky to me.

I was leaning towards 2d.....then I thought maybe pass....then maybe 2h.........
If I got more time....I will think some more...
If bridge is a timed event put me down for 2h.

This is a great problem.
My reasoning is:
1. On a good day, opener is something close to 4=3=3=3 minimum and responder close to 3=3=3=4.
2. I have a good hand, and game is possible, but I can't be sure which game.
3. If I make a minimum rebid, I risk playing there when game is cold... thus partner will often pass me in 2♥ when 3N has play
4. If I make a strength showing bid... 2N or 3♥ appear to be the choices... 3♣ doesn't appeal at all for a variety of reasons... I may get to a silly contract when the other call would have worked. Thus 3♥ may get me to a poor 4♥, failing on a 4-2 trump break, while 2N may get me to 3N, and my hand doesn't much look like notrump anyway
5. If they make it, they score 180... hardly a disaster unless we can find and make a game
6. if they go down, they could easily fail by 3 tricks.
My plan is to lead the diamond Ace and to continue with diamonds unless the appearance of dummy and/or partner's card suggests otherwise. I think this is the way to a maximal outcome if partner is, for example, QJ10xx Axxx xx xx, and give partner the club J or even the 9, on some layouts, and this could be bloody.

Pass ???
2♣X is unlikely to make and it isn't game if it does.

Agree with this, don't think we can pass when partner can easily be 5-5 majors and we have a lowish HCP game and can't beat 2C.
