In the above diagram South has another to bring him up to 13 cards. IMO...
  • Duck the lead in dummy, win cheaply in hand.
  • If forced to play Q, then win K with A, and draw a round of trumps.
  • If forced to play , then finesse J.
  • If forced to finesse Q, then cover K with A and cash T.
  • If both follow cash J.
  • If both follow, claim.
  • Otherwise cash tops and cross-ruff.

There is a slight inference, when there is a doubleton Ax in dummy, that a player, who covers Q or J also has T. On that reasoning, you might rely on the ruffing- finesse of 9.
