Opponents vulnerable and you hold

J62,T,QT8,AKT765

Bidding is like this

Pd RHO You LHO
1H (1S) 2C Pass
2H (3D) ?

1) What is your bid?
2) Do you think its close between double and pass?
3) Would double be penalty or cards showing?

Pass. We have the points, but we may not have a plus score with no fit. One could argue double at matchpoints, but partner can take the action too. I have a dead minimum for my bid.

I would pass now, our hand has become a little worse since we last bid (and we have almost a minimum hand for our 2), also it sounds like we have a misfit. I don't think it is very close, but could probably be argued into that it is.

The last question is more unclear for me, but I think I would have taken it as card showing.

Double, partner didn't raise and we have a singleton heart. I expect to beat this.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I'd hit it, not only because I expect to beat it, but because even if I'm wrong about that, I don't expect -110 to be worth a lot of matchpoints. Bigger difference between 100 and 200 than between -110 and -670.

Well, I agree with the posters that this is favorite to go down.

This hand was given to me by friend, and I dont have the full hand. However,
3D was unbeatable, and partner found a bad moment to open light. You can probably see that declarer will get good breaks in his key suits ( like spades 3-3 and Diamonds something like 3-2 or 3-1, and it looking like that only one of the clubs is cashing ( Declarer is probably 5-2-5-1)

This was partners hand
