Scoring: IMP

p - p - 1 - X
XX - 1 - X - p
?

IMPs, vul aginst not, partner opens 1
Do you like my XX?
What is partners X? (I think penalty, but what hand can he have?)
What now?
Does it make a diff if you are not a passed hand?

EDIT: Single club, not single Diamond!

Partner's double is penalty. It makes little sense but that's what it shows and I'd rather trust my partner than my opponents.

I wouldn't have redoubled but I have no problem with it.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I like the XX, especially if it tends to deny partner's suit.

This auction doesn't make any sense. I suppose it's just within the realm of possibility that they have a 3-3 fit (the 1 bidder being 2335 or somesuch), the other possibility being that 1 is a psyche to keep us out of hearts.

Arrgh. Any other vulnerability, I'd leave it, but then, any other vulnerability and they probably don't risk a psyche either. I guess I don't have a good answer. It would depend on the level of my partner and table feel. Gonna be hard to set this 4 tricks.

If my partner had.... (kidding!)

Well, we'll see what the experts say.
