Pass hoping partner reopens. If 2S is a psyche then they got me. If they bid it on 6 small spades then they might be in serious trouble.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Pass is the bid unfortunately. Maybe play penalty doubles of weak 2s against this pair in future.

Pass seems more than obvious. It should be a familiar enough problem that it's done smoothly as well.

I'm sorry, but I think you have to double (or 3N, but my stiff club K would concern me), and either bid spades twice or just play this in NT.

They can go too easily for 50 a trick when you probably have game whether it is in 3N or 4 Spades (I don't believe they have them)

That's why I play penalty doubles against 3rd seat weak twos.

Well, lets say that you discount the possibility of a psych, (RHO did have some spades this time, 10 fifth). You are definitely picturing partner with spade shortness (again if no psych). How much, or how little, do you expect partner to balance with once it goes pass to him?

On the actual hand partner would bid 3C, his hand was -, Ax, xxxx, Qxxxxxx. What would you bid over 3C?

I guess I would bid 3NT. I would reason this way in the auction. At other tables RHO will check and we will probably be bidding 1♠-1NT; over which this hand is either driving to 4♠ or 3NT. I can play 3NT from my side instead of partner's, protecting my kings and maybe getting a spade lead helping me when partner void, so I'm going to push or beat other pairs with this action. It's nice to be free rolling at matchpoints.
