Hi,
the auction
1D - 1H
3C - 3S
6H
#1 1D ok
#2 1H ok
#3 3C a matter of style, I would say 2C is enough,
since 3C forces to game and you dont have a fit,
but ok
#4 3S ??? Either bid 3NT or bid 4D, since both seem
to agree, that 3S is FSF, what is the point of the bid?
#5 6H is out of space, one would believe that 3C showed
the hand, and 3S certainly does not promise a 5
carder, descirbe your hand further, e.g. with a 4H bid
The above comments are more or less valid for all natural
systems, i.e. there is no special SAYC flavour.
With kind regards
Marlowe

3C is 100% GF. After 3C you dont need 4th suit forcing. So 3D instead of 3S is the correct bid.
After 3D, 3H showing something in H. Now with Ktxx in S and not that much extras south will bid 3Nt.
1D----1H
3C----3D
3H----3Nt
Now i think north can either pass or bid 4C.

From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

N already overbid a little with 3♣ so 6♥ is silly. 4♥ is plenty.
S should bid 3♦ instead of 3♠. I could have some sympathy for a pragmatic 3NT or a more enthusiastic 4♦ but 3♠ is really pointless. It takes away bidding space and it gives opener no opportunity to bid 3NT without a spade stopper. It is not even clear (at least not to me) what 3♠ means here.
A sensible auction would be something like
1♦-1♥
2♣-2♦
3♥*-3NT
*maybe 2♥ is enough.

The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

3C was a serious overbid. 2C is normal. If partner bids 2D you will bid again to show your extra strength.
3S was a really really bad bid. It is clear to bid diamonds.
6H I won't comment on.

Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I agree with 3♣, partner bid our AKx not our void. We can have slam opposite very very little. After that 3♠ was a vague waste of time, and 6♥ was from another planet.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

3C is a good bid, AKX in partner's suit worths a huge upgrade.
I like 3D showing support instead of 3S.

In one of Victor Mollo's stories, the Hideous Hog says "the key to success at bridge is to realise that everyone is dealt 13 cards, even RR".
With that in mind, there is no way we don't have a fit on this hand (if partner has 13 cards and exactly 4♥, 2♦ and 2♣, then he wouldn't have responded 1♥).

Help
My pd opens 1!D-1!H-3!C-3!S(4th)-6!H (EW only pass)
We agree that it was crazy bidding but where it does go off the track we can not agree on:) (as incidental partners)
