I heard about a new use for 4♣ over a 2N opening when I was in LV.
4♣ = slammish with 5-5 in the majors. If opener isn't interested in slam, opener bids 4♦ and responder goes back to 4♥ (if responder still doesn't want to push on) and opener chooses.
4M by opener is forcing and sets trump.
Similarly, 2N - 3♥ - 3♠ - 4♥ is just a choice of games.
Perhaps there are better continuations, but I think I like the concept.
Over 1N, it seems to me you can telescope all invitational or better major 5-5's into 3♣ in a similar fashion.

I've been using 4♣ as a game force with 5-5 in the minors for a while; doesn't come up much though. Using fairly standard methods over 2NT it is quite easy to show major suits (stayman and then smolen, transfer to hearts and then 3♠, transfer to spades and then 4♥, etc) but rather annoying to show minor suits (virtually all of which are pushed into 2NT-3♠). This method seems to make things quite a bit easier on hands that are a substantially bigger problem than 5-5 majors hands.

On a related note, I sometimes wonder if Texas is not a waste here. If Opener is free to make super-acceptances with three-card fits (makes sense to me), then Texas is redundant, to a degree. Even without supers, it seems somewhat redundant. Might make sense to play Brozel here.
4♣ = ♣+♥, slammish
4♦ = ♦+♥, slammish
4♥ = ♥+♠, slammish
4♠ = ♠+minor, slammish
4♣ = ♣+♥, slammish
4♦ = ♦+♥, slammish
4♥ = ♥+♠, slammish
4♠ = ♠+minor, slammish

And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

We play 4C is GF with both majors, stole it from the bridgematters site I think. Or maybe we stole it from inquiry who stole it from bridgematters.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

My partner and I play 4C as GF with both majors (not necessarily slam interest) and opener 'superaccepts' with 4M but bids 4D if he's a min/not interested but wants to play in 4M. 4NT over 4C would be to play.
We also play 2NT-3H; 3S-4H as a self suited slam try (better than a mild via the non-texas route)
