wtp X. My 1Nt overcall can be pretty strong but this hand is too nice.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

I agree with X , wtp. I would like to have better diamonds spots though. Even this hand can get killed in 1NT X , if partner is bust.

I like a style in which this is a maximum 1NT overcall, but with no special agreements this is clearly an X followed by 1NT if p bid 1 and 2NT if p bids 2.

I'm one of the heaviest 1NT overcallers out there. And I am still wondering what this obvious double is doing here...
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Your bid?

You're kidding now Mike, aren't you?
Overcalling 1NT on this would be______. (I don't really know what to put in there.)
Overcalling 1 is even worse.
Kind regards,
Harald

This was a trick question, of course. He asked 'your bid?'

And double is not a bid... it is a call.

That is the only reason I can see for this post, because any 'bid' is ridiculous

Is this the first ever unanimous bidding poll? Congrats to mike777 for finding a question to which 39 pollers agreed.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Damn! I voted too quickly. The post clearly indicates "late night." No one doubles with this hand in a late night game. Please. What, you are going to make a bid that lets everyone bid something at the one-level, all so that you can make some extremely rare delayed notrump bid and try to remember, while drinking mind you, what the heck we play after a delayed notrump call? No way.

This is a clear 3NT overcall if held after midnight.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."
