Scoring: MP

BIDDING GOES
1D-1S-P-1NT-P(15-17)-2S-DBL(PENALTY)-3NT-P-P-DBL-P-P-4H("NATURAL")-DBL-P-P-4S - DBL- ALL PASS

It was aplayer displaying "I love this game" on their profile. i am told there is abook written by this name where agressive bidding is indicated with highly distributional hands.

Somehow tho, I think the average player has misunderstood whatever is written in this book. I cannot understand why it is one should prempt opp from making a miser 1NT + 2 and cannot bear perhaps getting 30 percent on a board, so they go on to score zero percent, at any vulnerability.

At this rate, it is I who love this game.

These players make insane sacrifces, such as when they bid 4 minor over your pefectly bid 3nt, we double, they keep bidding till 6 minor.

Babalu just wanted a shoulder to cry on, is that too much to ask for?

"I love this game" is the title of Sabine Auken's book. Auken does indeed recommend aggressive bidding. But I wouldn't assume that a stranger who put "I love this game" on his/her profile would necessarily take Auken's advice. After all, Auken does not own a patent on the expression.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

Mind reformatting that auction into something readable? Exactly 4 bids per line, with opponents bids in (). I mean, I really tried to work it out but that's just impossible. At the very least a call appears to be missing. Did N really bid 3NT?

I would overcall 1S with the south hand. 1NT by north was right but 3NT has nothing to do with partnership bridge.

Is babalu blaming south for getting so high? I don't understand the comments.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Perhaps it's just me, but I hate this way to post the bidding - it's so hard to decipher. :P
This post I just skipped because of this.
Sorry OP, not specifically aimed at you, lots of posts are like this, unfortunately.

It would be nice if there was an "auction" button (like "fullhand", "onesuit" etc) that would space an auction well in the default proportionally spaced font.

Scoring: MP

BIDDING GOES
1D-1S-P-1NT
P*-2S-DBL**-3NT***
P-P-DBL-P
P-4H****-DBL-P
P-4S***** - DBL- ALL PASS

**** Natural? Psychotic?
***** 2S was doubled for penalty, but maybe they will forget to double 4.

Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
