Why does BBTV need that big "Click here" button to sign on? Why not just go straight into BBO? It's not like BBOFlash, where you have to enter a password and can click on options.

The reason for the "click here" button is to prevent the various automated programs that scan the web from logging in to BBO automatically upon visiting the BBOTV launch page.

It is currently not stable, I tried to open it in another window but there it wasnt stable either. I lose connection all the time. Could be my connection or my browser. Ubuntu Gutsy, Firefox.

Uday had the same problem when he tried it under Linux (not sure which flavor/browser), but Gerardo had no problems on his Linux machine. Gerardo is really our Linux expert - maybe he can make a suggestion, but most likely it will be the usual (try another browser, make sure you have the latest...).

Sorry Gabor, but I am not sure what is causing this problem. Investigating...
In the mean time, I suspect that if you upgrade to IE7 you will be OK.

IE7 is not available for my operating system (Win2000).
I tried BBOFLASH under Mozilla Firefox, it does not work.

I've not tried, but presumably to open a new table with just yourself you need to fill the boxes with something? This seems slightly awkward. Also, same gripe with lack of p'ship bidding (and I know you already addressed this in the last thread so don't feel like you need to repeat yourself!).
Many thanks for releasing,
Ant.
[edit]: removed repeating client twice

visit this link
http://www.adobe.com...ts/flash/about/
that contains a little flash box that tells you what version of flash you are running
1. does it work?
2. what version of flash are you running?
We have an idea that might help but first try the link above and let us know what you find
Helene, I had the same prob w/feisty. The link above told me I was running a back level version of flash. The latest version of flash is
"version 9,0,115,0 "
Gerardo, who runs a more recent version of both ubuntu and flash has no trouble of this sort.
I'm trying to upgrade my own ubuntu to gibbon. ( perhaps I should have just tried to update my flash player - sheesh) but so far all I've managed to do is cut myself. Blind squirrels shouldn't play with sharp nuts, or something like that anyway, when i get it going I'll find out if that was the problem.

After you click "Play. Watch. Browse." there are a few ways you can start a table.
If you then click "Play - find a game" and reserve a seat for yourself that will do the trick.
You can also click "Browse all tables", then "Public clubs". You will see "Start new table" buttons in various places after that. These buttons will allow you to start a table using the same sort of mechanism that is used in BBOWin.
Glad you like the program. Suspect you will like it more as you discover some of the other features we have added

I can't see an option to reserve for me, only for my partner and/or the opps... if I add my name in one of the boxes I get a duplicate item error.

Try this test/temp link
http://swf.bridgebas...abor/gabor.html
Do you see the login screen on this link ?
If you see the login screen, that will tell me what is going on..
Note: even if you do, this is a play version, and i'll remove it and make a real version (this one will be crippled even if you login)

Sorry - was confused. The first method I mentioned is not a good way to start an empty new table.
