What's this nonsense about downgrading hands falling into your NT-range?

You've got 15 hcp, a couple of good honour combinations, and heck, only 2 spotcards lower than 8!

Apart from you having easy, well defined auctions after opening 1NT, it's one of the best preempts around, escpecially at rubber bridge.
