Playing support doubles, South does not have many options unless you're playing G/B 2NT, with the risk of wrong-siding 3NT. A natural NF 3♣ is not very practical either in case it's a misfit and N is minimal. I suppose it would be a natural invitational 2NT from opener, followed by 3NT by North.

I'm sure Bakkeren/Bertens would get to 2♦X somehow.
