Oh, you meant my favorite realistic auction. 1♠-2♣-2♠-4♠. I really don't think I would find 3NT here. Maybe if north rebids 2NT and then either (a) passes a raise to 3NT or (be) rebids 3NT (!) over 3♠ then it would happen. I really don't see that happening with ♥J9x.

In real life, 4♠-1.

OK, just kidding. I would always bid to 4♠.

Pass!!!
Pass is certainly tempting but I am not completely sure I would find it.
If I did then it would be my favourite auction with these cards.
I believe that the USA currently hold only the World Championship For People Who Still Bid Like Your Auntie Gladys - dburn
dunno how to play 4 card majors - JLOGIC
True but I know Standard American and what better reason could I have for playing Precision? - Hideous Hog

♠KJx
♥xxx
♦AQ
♣K98xx
♠KJx
♥Jx
♦AQx
♣K98xx
opposite the same hand for opener. Note that on these hands 3NT is off (at least) the first five tricks whereas 4♠ is on the club finesse.
Perhaps this is worth a shot:
1♠ - 2♣
2♦(1) - 2♠(2)
2NT(3) - 3♦(4)
3NT(5) - Pass
(1) Any minimum hand
(2) GF spade agreement
(3) Good spades
(4) Diamond control
(5) No heart control, no club control, suggest playing 3NT
a.k.a. Appeal Without Merit

So playing with Jason, we bid:
1♠(1) - 1NT(GF ®)
2♥(2) - 2♠®
3♦(3) - 3♥(min/max?)
3♠(min) - 4♠
(1) 10-15, 5+♠
(2) Single-suited spades, unbal (with the obvious exception)
(3) 7=2=2=2 exactly
So didn't get to the magic 3NT in the end.
Edit: Partner was concerned about AQxxxxx xx Kx Kx and felt 3NT was too swingy.
