Scoring: IMP

(1) - 1 - (4) - 4
pass - pass - (5) - pass
pass - ???

We're west playing with expert pard and opps. Is 1 ok? What's our bid now? Is partner's pass forcing?
Thanks!

1D is fine.
Partner's pass is non-forcing.
Vulnerable against not, I think it is very close between pass and 5S now.

I would have bid 2, but 1 is ok. Had I bid 2, 5 would now be easy. As it went, I'd only bid it if needing a swing.

P's pass is by no means forcing, it would be quite normal to pass in this situation.

It is unclear who's hand it is but I pass at these colors. If it was our hand p might have doubled.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

#1 1D is ok, given the vulnerability,
I dont like 2D too much
#2 Pass, ... and this answers your question,
if I believe partners pass is forcing .-)

With kind regards

To me this is a lead problem: Low spade or ace of Diamonds?

Biding was fine, your final pass now too.
Kind Regards

1 looks normal. 2 is possible but I don't like weak jumps at this vulnerability - in fact I prefer not weak jumps at any vulnerability.

Partner bid 4 knowing that we could be this weak without spade support. With three spades and a singleton I think there is a good case for 5 now.
