The auction goes:

1 - P - 1 - P
2 - P - P - ?

I thought this one was obvious but it caused a major disagreement at the table.

Your hand is:

Kx
x
T98xx
KJT9x

Your bid?

Edit: didn't realize codes didn't work in the poll questions itself. [CL ] = clubs and [DI ] = diamonds.

Let me guess: you bid 2N and p took it as red suits, bidding 3?

I suppose 2N could work and I wouldn't be too worried about p misinterpreting it. I voted pass, though.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

Pass.

Are we talking IMPs or matchpoints?
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Pass, given that half of your strength is
in clubs.

Vulnerability and scoring, please.
But ok, I'd pass regardsless. I play 2NT as the red suits here.

You can't seriously ask this question without giving vulnerability and form of scoring.

I'd most likely bid 2NT, maybe red at IMPs would stop me.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

True. first poll I think I've posted.

scoring is matchpoints

The side bidding 2 spades is vulnerable, the other side is not.

From what I understand, the partnership has an agreement that 2 NT here is the minors.

It seems clear to me what 2NT means, with or without an agreement. And it seems an easy bid to me, at any vul and form of scoring. In fact I think it very likely we have an excellent fit in one or both minors, as partner passed over 1 on a known decent hand so probably doesn't have great heart length.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
