In MBT you can win money, in RR you win BBO points. I.e. they're like MBT but just for fun.

It seems to me that you win BBO points (if that is the same as BBO$) at both MBT and RR...

No, BBO points are not the same as BBO$. BBO$ is real cash that you can spend on BridgeBase services. BBO points are just ego boosters.
