Not going to bid 7 unless we can count 13 or 14 tricks.
Certainly won't go for our own throat by passing or bidding 3NT.
Well, if we don't have any agreements about 4♠ or 4NT, I will just bid 4NT and raise 5m to 6.

I will start with 4S, which should be a two-suiter with a spade control. I will bid 5C over partner's 4NT, and pass 5C or 5D.

HOWEVER... I'm not sure pard will understand 4♠ as a 2-suiter. For instance, if pard bids 4NT now, what will I understand from it?? Without agreements, 4♠ is gonna be a mess and I don't want to complicate a nice social bridge evening, so I'll just bid 4NT which my WC (water-closet??) pard should understand.

I don't think so, put it on your to do list.
I still find forcing to slam unbelievable.

I don't think partner will have an easy time evaluating what exactly he can like/dislike by bidding 4S. By the way, shouldn't this imply a Heart fit...?
Anyway, shoot me if you must but I am bidding 5NT.

And when your partner bids 7♥ because he has two of the top three honors....
Even if you want to be in slam, why not go through 4♠? Even I can understand that bid.

Does anyone still play 5N here as GSF in hearts?? This seems the most obvious pick-a-slam-5N ever.

Help

RHO, an advanced but not expert player, with a big lead in a social teamgame opens 3♠. You and LHO pass and your WC partner reopens with double. Whose throat are you hoping to go for, and by what means?
